We also acknowledge receipt of <br /> your December 13, 1976, resolution �1737 which we previously responded to in our <br /> letter dated February 10, 1977 (see attached) . Although we disagree with statements <br /> made in your correspondance, we respect your concerns and will continue to incorporate <br /> your resolution as an integral part of our planning process. <br /> The purpose of this letter is to clarify 1) the conteut of our six year capital <br /> improvement plan draft, and 2) the status of a western campus. <br /> I. Six Year Capital Improvement Plan <br /> A. In the 1980-81 State of Minnesota Capital Budget, Governor �uie requested <br /> that long range capital improvement plans be developed in preparation for <br /> the 1982-83 capital budget. As a result, we were asked to submit a six <br /> year capital improvement plan draf t fo the State Board of Education con- <br /> cerning possible capital improvements for the next three biennia. Planning <br /> draft reactions and final instructions will be returned this spring with <br /> the actual six year capital improvement plan and 1982-83 capital budget <br /> request to be submitted this fall. <br /> B. Because of the variables involved in any planning effort, the plan is to <br /> be updated every two years with priorities adjusted as necessary. I <br /> might also point out that the cost per square foot figures were state <br /> supplied and required to be used f or the bienniums specified. � <br /> II. Western Campus <br /> A. Qur plan since the inception of Joint Independent School District �1287 has <br /> been the construction of a western campus designed to serve the needs of the <br /> member district high school, post secondary, and adult citizens when future <br /> needs warranted.
