REGULAR MEETING OF THE ORONO COUNCIL, FEBRUARY 25 , 1980 Page 4 <br /> Alan Olson, City Planner, entered into the record CONDITIONAL USE PERNZIT <br /> the following concerning the conditional use permit 280 Orono Orchard Road <br /> request of Timothy Petersen, 280 Orono Orchard #S00 <br /> Road, dated February 20 , 1980 , which states : TiMothy Petersen <br /> On January 30 , 1980 , Mr. Petersen appeared before <br /> the Council and promised that he would remove his <br /> antenna by February l, 1980. As of this morning, <br /> the tower is still in place as it has been since <br /> last summer. <br /> Mr. Petersen has refused to meet with his neighbors <br /> as he promised at the December meeting. On <br /> January 16 , 1980 , the City received a letter from <br /> a civil engineer attesting to the tower' s structural <br /> integrity. On February 13, 1980 , the City received <br /> a phone call from that engineer requesting Mr. <br /> Petersen' s name and address so that he (the engineer) <br /> could be paid for his letter, which was now obviously <br /> written withotat ever visiting the site. I know <br /> of no response to Mr. Malkerson ' s letter of February 6 , <br /> 1980. <br /> I submit that this whole after-the-fact application <br /> has been a series of delays, misrepresentations <br /> and broken promises. DZr. Petersen may be attempting <br /> to delay compliance with the ordinances of the - <br /> City until he moves from the property in May as <br /> he stated he will do. <br /> If the tower is still standing on February 25, 1980 , <br /> I recommend that the Council deny the application <br /> and that additional citations or formal complaints be <br /> issued. <br /> Council Meeting - February 25 , 1980 <br /> Mayor Van Nest moved, Hurr seconded, to adopt RESOLUTION #1115 <br /> Resolution #1115 , A Resolution Denying A Conditional 280 Orono Orchard Road <br /> Use Permit To Timothy Petersen, 280 Orono Orchard #500 <br /> Road. Motion, Ayes (4) - Nays (0) . Timothy Petersen <br /> Hurr moved, Paurus seconded, to adopt Resolution RESOLUTION #1116* <br /> #1116 , A Resolution Directing Staff To Issue A Kelly Avenue Holding Co <br /> Joint Use Dock License To Kelly Avenue Holding 1980 Dock License <br /> Company Subject To Conditions Noted Herein For <br /> The Period Of January l, 1980 To December 31 , <br /> 1980 .
