DISTRICT 284 CONLr7UNITY <br /> Snyder, Superintendent of School District 284 , EDUCATIOrd PROGRAM <br /> �aayzata, dated Decerlber 18, 1979 , which states: <br /> "7�t its meeting of December 10, 1979, the ��ayzata <br /> Board of Education gave final approval to a <br /> District 284 Community Education program. This <br /> means that in earl_y 1980 we will be hiring a <br /> cormmunity education director and orgainzinq <br /> the advisory council which by law is an intec�ral <br /> part of that program. <br /> We are asking you to appoint one renresentative <br /> to this advisory council of 21 persons. In doing <br /> so, we want you to consider that the Council has <br /> a most important role in directing the entire <br /> community education program. In addition to <br /> making recommendations for related tax levies to <br /> the �Jayzata Board of Education, the Council <br /> helps �shape the overall character of community <br /> education and services provided. Consequently, <br /> it should be broadly representative of the community <br /> as a whole. <br /> It is expected that the Council will meet f_our to <br /> six times per year. PZeetings will be in the <br /> evening, probahly at the District 284 School <br /> Administration Building.
