Construction of a parallel interceptor system <br /> The total capital cost of combined sewer overflow alternatives range <br /> from $147 million and $340 million. <br /> B. Residual Solids Management Alternatives including: <br /> 1 . Year-round incineration of waste trea trnent sludge followed by <br /> landfill of residual ash <br /> 2. Incineration or composting of waste treatment sludge on a seasonal basi� <br /> 3. Land application of stabilized sludge in controlled landfill sites <br /> 4. Heat dried sludge followed by land application to agricultural lands <br /> C. Northwest Area Study including: <br /> 1 . Expansion of existing Anoka Treatment Plant <br /> 2. Abandonment of existing plant and completion of interceptor system <br /> to Metropolitan Treatment Plant <br /> V. OTHER TREATMENT ALTERNATIVES <br /> Remaining components of the regional alternatives include upgrade, expansion, <br /> or abandonment of existing treatment facilities.
