Review by adjacent cities should <br /> be done by P4ay allowing formal suhmittal at that <br /> tir.le. <br /> End of P�emo <br /> Alan Olson, City Planner, entered into the record MINNETONKA BEACH <br /> the comprehensive nlan review for the City of PLAP1 REVIEW* <br /> P4innetonka Beach, dated December 27, 1979 , which <br /> states: <br /> PZinnetonka Beach is a village of 313 acres and <br /> 600 residents and is the smallest incorporated city <br /> in the State. <br /> The village is 97-98o developed; almost all of <br /> which is devoted to single family residential <br /> use. The Village has no commercial or industrial <br /> facilities. The only non-residential properties <br /> are the Laf ayette Club (15 0 of the Cit��' s lanci <br /> area) , the Village facilities, the post office <br /> and St. PSartin' s Church. <br /> The Village has no metropolitan park but does <br /> have five neighborhood parks comprising 50 of <br /> the land area. <br /> The Village for_esees new residential development <br /> filling the rer_maining vacant land within the next <br /> ten years , amounting to some 25 units maximum. <br /> As soon as the Orono-Long Lake Interceptor is <br /> completed, all properties will be connected to <br /> the municipal sewer. All properties have municipal <br /> water available. <br /> P�4innetonka Beach has the same philosophy and goals <br /> regarding transportation and Count_y Road 15 as <br /> does Orono. <br /> D4innetonka Beach expects to continue to relv on <br /> neighboring cities for police and fire protection <br /> and for all commercial services. <br /> Attached is their land use map, exerpts from the <br /> plan and a suggested draf_t letter of review. If <br /> approved by Council action, the letter will be <br /> sent as Orono' s official response to P4innetonka <br /> Beach. <br /> (Continued) <br />
