The additional cost <br /> will be borne solely by Long Lake. Pdotion, Aves (5) - <br /> Nays (0) . <br /> '.^RAFFIC CONTROL* <br /> Dick I3enson, City Administrator, inf_ormed the Orono High School <br /> City Council that for the past months , we have <br /> discussed with the Orono School District their <br /> rec�uest to patrol the hi_qh school �arking lots <br /> when convenient for the police r�atrol. Our <br /> concerns have been that we did not want to <br /> create a make-work load for our Police Departr►ent <br /> on a regular basis, hut we would �rovide this <br /> service at random in conjunction with other <br /> patrolling services. <br /> The Orono School has held their �ublic hearing <br /> on the matter and have adopted the rules in <br /> accordance with Pi.S. 123. 352, Sub. 2 of the <br /> State Code which allows the Police Departrment <br /> to ticket violators on school propert_y. Our <br /> attornevs have reviewed the matter and have <br /> approved the procedures. <br /> �ae will coordinate our efforts on available <br /> time only, or on complaints from the high <br /> school staff in conjunction with x�rovidinc� <br /> traffic control at the intersection of the Old <br /> Crystal Bay Road and State Highway #12 . <br /> Butler r►o�ed, Piassengale seconded, to approve <br /> traffic control for the Orono high school <br /> per the above memo.
