OROrdO COUNCIL, OCTOBER 30, 1979 Page 22 <br /> Alan Olson, City Planner, presented the City Council FENCE ORDINANCE <br /> with a mer.mo concerning the proposed zoning amendments <br /> for fences, dated October 24 , 1979 , which states: <br /> �Ve have scheduled a public hearing at the November 26 , <br /> 1979 Planning Commission meeting to review these <br /> proposed ordinance amendments prior to Council action. <br /> The Council could adopt the ordinance as early as <br /> Novermbe r 2 7, 19 7 9. <br /> The ordinance draft contains the proposeci language <br /> in final forri. Section 1 includes all those existing <br /> code sections which are being revised. Compare the <br /> proposal with the existing languaqe of those sections <br /> as shown on the attachrients. Section 2 adds new <br /> definitions to the Code. Section 3 adds entirelv <br /> new provisions to the Code for clarification of the <br /> intent of these changes. <br /> The changes and additions are intended to clarify <br /> the difference hetween f_ences and walls, to specify <br /> standards for their location and character, and to <br /> change the intent of the screening sections from <br /> "fences" to natural r,laterials. All sections per- <br /> taining to fences, walls or screening have been <br /> included in this corlprehensive revision. <br /> De�ailed Explanation of Changes and Additions <br /> Section 1 � <br /> 31. 433 Non-encroachment Section - "Front Yard" title <br /> clarifies where this applies.
