Glenn Cook, City Engineer, discussed the progress RINI� ROUTE STATUS of the ring route construction commentinc� that the contractor has not Performed for one month and has not been available on the project when weather permitted him to work. City Administrator Dick Benson, and Glenn Cook will meet with the contractors Thursday, September 13, 1979, to review the project and receive from hir.m a commitment on finalizing the project. Mr. Ken Turnham, 4490 �^Iatertown Road, was present to discuss the ring route. P4r. �lenn Cook, City Engineer, announced the hearing TRAF�'IC LI�HT at the Orono School on tsondav, Senter.lber 24 , 1979 at �12 & Old Crystal Bay 7: 30 P.P�, and reviewed with the Citv Council revised Road plans for_ construction of a traffic light at Highway 12 and the Old Crvstal Bav Road. Mr. Glenn Cook, City �ngineer, reviewed the drainage NORTHFRN AVENUE DRAIN- problem on IJorthern Avenue at the Spring Park-Orono AGE PROBLEi+I boundary and cor►mented that Spring Park has agreed to drain the water to the west. The Cit_y Council discussed the closinq of Fox FnX STREET Street in conjunction with the cl�sincr of F�enne�in County #15 and Tanager Lake bridqe with residents of the area commenting that it is unfortunate that the completion of the bridge and the interceptor is several r_Zonths behind schedule. This has been caused by the inability of the I�etropolitan T=7aste Control Commission, Hennepin Countv, and the contractor to coordinate their efforts anci accorimodate the public in meeting their original schedule of completion.
