G��' i <br /> Orono, Minnesota i <br /> i <br /> Dear Mr. Van Nest : i <br /> i <br /> Not really knowing exactly who to contact on the following � <br /> matters, I as a long time resident of Orono , decided to write ; <br /> to you and apologize for bothering you. � <br /> We reside at 1305 Shoreline Drive and our property has a 400' to � <br /> 500 ' frontage on Shoreline Drive (County Road 15) . As you no doubt '. <br /> know a sizeable sewer project was commenced several months ago , , <br /> which entailed some rather deep trenching all along our property, <br /> removing several trees and considerable lawn, along with our mail <br /> box and an important culvert under our driveway entrance, plus <br /> the driveway apron. Since we only occupy our home for about six <br /> months during the su�er months , i. e. May to November, we do take <br /> considerable pride in maintaining our property and I might add, <br /> at a substantial cost. <br /> jJe were assured that the entire stretch would be resodded, the <br /> culvert replaced (��ater is standing all along the road) , driveway <br /> apron redone, trees replaced, etc. , by June 15th. Nothing what- <br /> soever has been done. <br /> On the mailbox matter, we have had to pick up our mail at the <br /> Wayzata post office which is not only a nuisance but a waste of <br /> quite a lot of gasoline, etc. The post office has very stringent <br /> requirements as to the placement, height , surface conditions, etc. <br /> and there is no way to meet these specs due to this "sewer exca- <br /> vating. " Also, we have foregone having our entire driveway black <br /> topped, as we do each year due to the large amounts of mud and <br /> gravel brought up by each car coming into our gate. I would like <br /> to discuss the possibility too of some cost sharing when, as and <br /> if all of these conditions have been remedied and we can recover <br /> our driveway. <br />
