Motion, Ayes (4) - Nays (0) . <br /> Butler moved, Paurus seconded, to adopt Resolution RESOLUTION #1064* <br /> #1064, A Resolution Requesting Plorth Piemorial Ambulance Service <br /> Ambulance Service, biotion, Ayes (4) - Nays (0) . <br /> 4 <br /> Dick Benson, City Administrator, inforrted the City CRYSTAL BAY POST OFFICE <br /> Council that the Purchase Agreement for the Crystal Purchase Agreement <br /> Bay Post Office has been executed by the Talberts. <br /> Butler moved, Paurus seconded, to a�prove the <br /> purchase and accept the purchase agreement for <br /> the Cr_ystal Bay Post Office. rqotion, A_yes (4) - <br /> Nays (0) . <br /> Dick Benson, City Administrator, presented the City HANDICAPPED* <br /> Council with a memo from John Gerhardson, Public Council Chambers <br /> Works Coordinator, dated August 6 , 1979 , which states: <br /> For the program year 1978, the City of Orono allocated <br /> funds to provide access to the Council Chambers for <br /> the handicapped, through the Community Development <br /> Block Grant Program. <br /> It has been determined that to accomplish access <br /> for the handicapped, the following changes must <br /> be made: <br /> l. The existing entry way must be raised to the <br /> same level as the floor inside the chambers. <br /> 2. The double door will have to be removed and <br /> replaced with one door of sufficient width. <br /> 3. The foyer area will have to be extended into <br /> the Council char,ibers approximately eight inches. <br /> We must do this to obtain the seven feet between <br /> the outside and the inside door. It cannot be <br /> rnoved to the outside. <br /> 4. Once the above items are completed, a concrete <br /> ramp must be constructed. Because of the <br /> height difference between the level of the <br /> entrance and the parking lot, the ramp must <br /> extend east fron the entrance and gradually <br /> curve down to the parking lot. According <br /> to the calculations, it should end between <br /> the first and second evergreen trees next to <br /> Brown Road South. <br /> 5. A railing will have to be installed at the <br /> proper height. <br /> (Continued) <br />
