In ans�aer to the ten-points outlined in your letter to us on <br /> level of police services, our answer is yes to each item. <br /> 3. The Cit1 of Orono will consider additional personnel assigned <br /> to a particular city provided that the city requesting additional <br /> service be charged proportionatelv for that service, which would <br /> be in addition to the existing contract. <br /> 4. These services and agreer.�ents �vould be by contract and not <br /> provided for by a Joint Po��ers Agreer�ent. <br /> 5. The City of Orono will not enter into the competitive bid process <br /> in order to provide police services to a particular city. <br /> Diane, if we can agree to continue our meetings based unon this <br /> approach to drafting a 1980 police contract, it ��ould be meaningful <br /> to all of us and certainly productive. <br /> I understand that you are having a meeting soon with your appointed <br /> Joint Police Comr_iittee and vour Police Research Committee.
