REGULAR IIEETING OF �FiE OR02I0 COUNCIL, FEBRUARY 13 , 1979 Page 31 Dick IIenson, City Adr.tinistrator, presented the OUTSTI�IDING CF�ECKS* City Council with a memo fror.t Thomas ICuehn, Finance Director, concerning old outstanding checks, dated January 25, 1979, which states: The General bank account has 25 checks which have been outstanding for anywhere frori over two years to over twelve years. The dollars involved ar.iount to $1, 497. 58. At this point, it is highly unlikely that any will be presented for payr.tent. If any are presented f.or payrient, the City will have to issue replacer.lent .checks anyway, because the banl: will not honor checks that old. The attached resolution provides for writing off these old outstanding checks and including therl as r.tiscellaneous recepits to the pro�er funds. The resolution indicates the payee, date of issue, check number, fund disbursed from and amount of each check. Dick Benson, City Adriinistrator, presented "the WESTERN HENNEPIN COUNT`_ City Council with a letter frori the �9estern PIONEERS ASSOCIATION Hennepin County Pioneers Association, Inc. , Donation dated January 29, 1979, which states: "��e wish to acknowledge receipt of your letter of January 25 and relative to the support of the �9estern Hennepin County Pioneers Association. We are most grateful for your past support and - doubly so, because of your intention to continue the same this year. . In view of this, please consider this letter, not a bill, but a staternent requesting the allocation • of $500 from the City of Orono. Said monies to go toward the perpetuation of the Western Hennepin County Pioneers Association, thus preserving . the culture and history of this area. � We are pleased that we were able to be of help in the publication of your Orono Newsletter.
