The enclosed tabulation contains a coriplete accounting of all bids received and the recorunended low bidders and alternates. The accepted low bids for materials are determined by availability and location of materials. Travel- ing ciistance to a supplier is a considered cost factor when •determining a low bid. When renting equipr�ent with an operator, we are guided by the type, size of equipr.ient and hourly rate. It is possible to award the low bid to r.iore than one contractor when considering materials and equipr.ient. In order to stiriulate enthusiasr► for the followinc� year' s work, we make sure to divide the work accordingly among these low bidders. In the event the low bidder is not available, " ; the City reserves the right to purchase from the � '' next alternate.
