Alan Olson, City Planner, presented the City PARK DEDICATION F�ES <br /> Council with a mer:�o concerning proposed changes <br /> to the Park Dedication Ordinance, dated December 5 , <br /> 1978, which states: <br /> On Nover.mber 14 , 1978 , the City Council discussed <br /> revision to the park dedication fee ordinance. <br /> I recommend review and adoption of the atta.ched <br /> ordinance draft. This is an exerpt fror:l the most <br /> recent draft subdivision regulations which have <br /> been under study for the last year. I recorunend <br /> calling a public hearing for the first rneeting in <br /> January. <br /> The revisions include language arising from the . <br /> recent Supreme Court decision involving the <br /> B1oor.lington ordinance. Other changes fror.l the <br /> existing ordinance include: <br /> l. Commercial - Industrial Dedication <br /> 2. Increase in rates on certain densities: <br /> Five (5) acre lot from 1-1/4% to 50 <br /> '�'wo (2) acre lot from 2-1/2� to 10 0 <br /> 3. �stablishment of flat rate (minir,tum) fee of <br /> $250 for building permits on existing lots <br /> rather than the percentage rate which of ten <br /> ran up to the maximum $1, 000 fee. <br /> 4. Clarification of policy wherein no fee is <br /> charged for existing residences or building , <br /> sites when a division is made, i.e. ; a lot <br /> split will be charged one fee, not two; a five <br /> lot division with one existing house will be <br /> charged four fees, not five. <br /> Tlie proposed park dedication fee ordinance was <br /> referred to the Park Commission for review and <br /> recor.unendations. <br /> A letter was received frorm Mr. Herbert Klossner, TANAGER LAKE BRIDGE <br /> Department of Transportation, Fiennepin County, <br /> concerning the Tanager Lake Bridge, dated November 8, <br /> 1978, which states: <br /> Letter - Page 13 <br /> P�Ir.
