There (Continued) has, however, been precedent in Orono for the City to reimburse the owner for the cost of a pump in situations such as this. These _ previous payments have been in the range of $450 to $550. This purip is apparently the largest required to datP. Paurus moved, P�ayor Van Nest seconded, to approve reimbursement to i2rs. Bloom, 1399 Park Drive, for the pump costs up to a r_taximum of $1, 000 which is the estimated cost of the larger pump. Motion, Ayes (4) - Nays (1) . Councilmember P4assenc�ale Nay. Councilmember Butler left the Council Chambers for five minutes. Dsr. Alan Olson, City Planner, entered into the ASSESSMENT REVIEW record the following concerning an assessment 2416 Carr.ian Street review for Edward Lehr:►an, 2416 Carman Street, Edward Lehman dated November 6, 1978, which states: Last fall this property was redivided as the Lehman Addition and the Council adopted Resolution #871 reducing the water assessr.lents frorl corunercial to residential rates. Because of the way assess- ments are resplit, the reduction on the remaining assessments is only a portion of the reduction on the original ariount_ � Mr. Lehman and I believe the Council expected the full $1, 371. 70 reduction. P4r. Lehman is now prepared to pay the assessnents in full. I recommend adoption of the attached resolution to effect reduction of the assessments as intended. Of the $2, 771. 65 due in January, 1978, Mr. Lehman will pay $1, 399. 95 and the Council would waive $1, 371. 70.
