Motion, Ayes (5) - Nays (0) . <br /> Mr. Alan Olson, City Planner, entered into the VARIANCE <br /> record the variance request of 4dalter ��Tolfe, 1250 Spruce Place <br /> 1250 Spruce Place, dated August 7, 1978 , which #413 <br /> states: Walter Wolfe � <br /> Mr. Wolfe is requesting a front setback variance <br /> for replacement of a garage which burned down on <br /> March 2 , 1978. <br /> Zone: LR-1B - Garage size 24. 5 X 40 ' = 980 sq. ft. <br /> Variance 34. 450 Front yard required: 35. 0 ft. <br /> proposed: 5. 1 ft. <br /> variance: 29. 9 ft. = 840 <br /> F�ardship stated: Location of existing foundation <br /> and driveway access. <br /> r7ote that there is r.luch equipment, nachines, auto <br /> parts, etc. plus empty barrels , an old boat and <br /> a vehicle with out-of-date license tabs on the <br /> property. Presumably, this will be stored inside <br /> once a garage is rebuilt but Mr. Wolfe should <br /> definitely be advised that a garage is for <br /> residential storage and use only and cannot be a <br /> commercial garage or workshop. <br /> Planning Commission Meeting - August 14, 1978 <br /> Walter Wolfe, Jr. and P�rs. Walter Wolfe, Sr. <br /> were present. Planning Commission discussed <br /> proposal and existing situation. Planning <br /> Commission recommended approval of the variance <br /> finding a hardship in the location of the existing <br /> foundation and house, and the location of the <br /> existing driveway access, with the condition that <br /> the garage be single story, used only for residential <br /> accessory use, and that all debris, equipment, etc. <br /> be stored inside upon completion. . <br /> Council Meeting - August 29, 1978 <br /> Butler moved, Pesek seconded, to approve the variance <br /> request of Walter Wolfe, 1250 Spruce Place, 'per the <br /> Planning Commission recommendations of August 14 , <br /> 1978. Motion, Ayes (5) - Nays (0) . <br />
