Staff intends <br /> to proceed w� th the necessary steps to have the <br /> area properl;� cleaned up. <br /> This item will be agended for the first meeting <br /> in August, 1978. <br /> Mr. Alan Olson, City Planner, informed the City SEWER CONNECTIONS <br /> Council in a memo dated June 19 , 1978 , stating <br /> that attached is a list of 125 properties which <br /> have not been connected to available sanitary <br /> sewer. Many are lakeshore properties. <br /> Orono Ordinances require connection within sixteen <br /> (16) months of service availability and State <br /> regulations require connection within two years of <br /> availability. Some of these properties have had <br /> sewer available for 15 years. All buildings in <br /> this situation have, by Ordinance and Statute, <br /> been declared public nuisances and hazardous <br /> buildings which may be condemned for occupancy <br /> upon 30-day notice. Al1 owners (or past owners) <br /> have received one or more City notices over the <br /> vears. <br /> � would like the City Council to review this matter <br /> and take official action requesting staff to enforce <br /> these required connections.
