R��U�AR MEETING OF THE ORONO COUNCIL, JUNE 15, 1978 Page �� <br /> , , � <br /> Dick Benson, City Administrator, presented the City SUMMER YOUTH EMPLOYMENT <br /> Council with a memo from John Gerhardson, Public PROGRAM - CETA <br /> 9orks Coordinator, dated June 8, 1978, which states: <br /> For the past several years, the City of Orono has <br /> participated in the summer youth employment <br /> program sponsored by CETA. <br /> This year the program is being administered by <br /> Twin Cities Tree Trust, Inc. <br /> The City of Orono will employ approximately four <br /> youths this summer and will place the individuals <br /> at the golf course, street department, parks and <br /> recreation, and the utility department. The <br /> program runs for ten weeks at 40 hours per week. <br /> Twin Cities Tree Trust will administer all payroll <br /> and initial interviewing and screening. <br /> The City of Orono will be responsible for super- <br /> vision and the safety of the youths. We have had <br /> great success with the program in the past and I <br /> am looking forward to another season of working <br /> with the youths. <br /> Council Meeting - June 15, 1978 <br /> �utler moved, Pesek seconded, to approve the <br /> .,ummer Youth E�nployment Program sponsored by <br /> CETA and employ approximately four youths <br /> per the above memo. Motion, Ayes (4) - Nays (0) . <br /> Mr. Bruce Malkerson, City Attorney, was directed PIHL & RECTOR MATTER <br /> by the City Council to proceed with whatever action 2605 - 2655 North Shore <br /> is necessary to maintain this lake access as a Drive <br /> public access for public use and to review all <br /> pertinent data and notify the property owners of <br /> their encroachment on public property. <br /> Mr. Bruce Malkerson, City Attorney, informed BEDERWOOD PARK <br /> the City Council that the warrenty deed for <br /> Bederwood Park has been filed and the City of <br /> Orono has clear title to that property. <br /> Pesek moved, Butler secanded, to adopt Ordinance ORDINANCE NO. 211 <br /> No. 211, An Ordinance To Amend The Municipal Code Commission Chairpersons <br /> Of The City Of Orono Relating To The Appointment Appointments <br /> Of Chairperson And Vice Chairperson And Vacancies <br /> Of Those Positions For The Planning Commission, <br /> �ark Commission And Human Rights Commission; <br /> mending Chapters 7, 9 And 12 Of The Orono Psunicipal <br /> , Code By Adding Certain Sections.
