REGULAR MEETING OF THE ORONO COLTNCIL, JUNE 15, 1978 Page S� <br /> � <br /> Dick Benson, City Administrator, informed the MEDINA-PiORNINGSIDE <br /> City Council that rumors seem to have spread to SEWER PROBLEM <br /> Long Lake and Medina that Orono has no intention <br /> of cooperating in attempting to solve P�iedina- <br /> t�iorningside's sewer problem. This, of course, <br /> is not true and we do intend to wor.k with the <br /> City of Medina and the City of Long Lake in <br /> every way that we can to solve all of our sewer <br /> problems through one common pipe, providing that <br /> the sewer unit numbers come out correctly and <br /> providing that we do not create sewer densities <br /> that are not already contemplated. <br /> I would lilc�e the City Council to approve staff <br /> forwarding a letter to Medina informing them <br /> that we will cooperate with them. The City of <br /> 1'dedina is assuming all engineering costs in <br /> reviewing the Medina-P4orningside problems. I <br /> have assured Mayor Wayne Neddermeyer and Lyle <br /> Swanson, Medina City Engineer, that a letter would <br /> be forth coming. <br /> Mayor Van Nest moved, Butler seconded, to direct <br /> staff to send a letter to the City of Piedina <br /> informing them that the City of Orono will <br /> participate with them to assist in resolving Medina- <br /> Morningside sewer problems. Motion, Ayes (4) - Nays (0) . <br /> Dick Benson, City Adm.inistrator, informed the EP�iPLOYMENT <br /> City Council that each year it is necessary to Orono Golf Course <br /> employ temporary counter help for the Orono Laura Becker <br /> Golf Course Clubhouse. I have received an <br /> application from Laura R. Becker, 3145 North <br /> Shore Drive. Laura will start work May 24, 1978 <br /> and will be employed no longer than October 31, <br /> 1978. <br /> Therefore, it is my recommendation to employ <br /> Laura Becker at. $2.50 per hour, effective <br /> P�iay 24, 1978. <br /> 2�iayor Van Nest moved, Pesek seconded, to employ <br /> Laura R.
