�� Y � Page 38 <br /> Resolution No. 901 <br /> RESOLUTION IN REGARD TO THE CITY OF ORONO ' S <br /> COMPREHENSIVE SEWER PLAN, SYSTEMS STATEi�ENT, <br /> COMPREHEi7SIVE LAND USE PLAN AND THE ORONO- <br /> LAKE SEWER INTERCEPTOR <br /> WHEREAS , the Metropolitan Council and the Metropolitan <br /> Waste Control Commission are charged with the responsibility <br /> of reviewing and approving the proposed Comprehensive Sewer <br /> Plan of the City of Orono, and the Iocation, construction <br /> capacity and future use of the proposed Orono Interceptor; <br /> and <br /> �9HEREAS , the Metropolitan Council is charged with the <br /> responsibility of reviewing the proposed Comprehensive Land <br /> Use Plan of the City of Orono under the Land Use Planning <br /> Act; and <br /> WHEREAS , the City of Orono has expressed numerous con- <br /> cerns about the interrelationship and impact of the proposed <br /> COrono Interceptor upon the City of Orono ' s Comprehensive <br /> Sewer Plan, Cor�prehensive Land Use� Plan, the future develop- <br /> ment in the City of Orono, �and the possible adverse affect <br /> upon the health , safety and welfare of the citizens of Orono; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS , the Metropolitan Council agrees with the City <br /> of Orono that the presence of a future Orono interceptor should <br /> not adversely impact upon the intent and purposes and objectives <br /> of the Orono Comprehensive Land Use Plan and Comprehensive <br /> Sewer Plan, the future development of the city, and the health , <br /> safety and welfare of the citizens of the City of Orono, <br /> NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF <br /> THE CITY OF ORONO AS FOLLOWS : <br /> 1 . The Metropolitan Urban Service Area, the Netropolitan <br /> Sewer Service Region lines (hereinafter MUSA and MSSR lines ) , <br /> and the Sewer Service Area of the Orono-Long Lake interceptor <br /> (hereinafter Interceptor Sewer Service Area line ) , as previously <br /> promulgated by the Metropolitan Council and the rSetropolitan <br /> Waste Control Commission are inconsistent with the City of <br /> Orono ' s existing and proposed Comprehensive Land Use Plan and <br /> the proposed Comprehensive Sewer Plan dated April , 1977 . <br /> ( 2. The revised MUSA, MSSR and Interceptor Sewer Service <br /> � Area lines , as shown on Exhibit A attached hereto and incor- <br /> porated herein by reference are consistent with the City of <br />
