After discussion with <br /> Orono city officials and others the following recommendations were <br /> agreed to by the City of Orono and adopted by the Committee. <br /> RECOMMENDATIONS : <br /> 1. That the plans and specifications for the Orono-Long Lake <br /> Interceptor system be found consistent with the policy plar� <br /> and development program. <br /> 2 . That Orono establish an interim service area to 1980 through <br /> an interim comprehensive sewer plan. <br /> 3. The service area of the interceptor in Orono will be determined <br /> after Orono in conjunction with Long Lake, Medina, Maple Plain, <br /> Minnetonka Beach and other neighboring cities and school dis- <br /> tricts have completed their comprehensive plans in accordance <br /> with the Land Planning Act. <br /> 4 . That the Metropolitan Council ratify and adopt the letters of <br /> John Boland, Chairman, dated March 31, 1978, and April 20 , 1978 , <br /> as the Council' s position and understanding regarding the Metro- <br /> politan Urban Service Line, the Metropolitan Sewer Service Region <br /> Lirre, a�d Intercepto� S��re� Service �,r�a. <br /> 5 . That the Metropolitan Council state that the designed inter- <br /> ceptor service area represents the possible area within which <br /> service could be provided from the interceptor. The City of <br /> Orono is free to allocate its assigned capacity within the <br /> area as it sees fit. <br /> 6 .
