Neighbor <br /> present said he would send a letter of cor►plaint <br /> with several neighborhood signatures. <br /> Staff - P�arch 24 , 1978 <br /> The City has received a petition from three neighbors <br /> complaining of the garage on this property and <br /> requesting City action to abate a nuisance. On March 22, <br /> 1978 , the Building & Zoning Department inspected the <br /> building and made findings consistent with the <br /> neighbors ' cor:unents. Staff will proceed with the . <br /> requirements of P�innesota Statutes 463. 15 and present <br /> inforr.lation for your attention at the next meeting. <br /> Council P4eeting - March 30 , 1978 <br /> I�Ir. Olson also comr_►ented that all data has not <br /> been reviewed. Mr. Heintz reviewed again the past <br /> history of the lot in question and displayed pictures <br /> of the lot where it was habited and contained a cabin <br /> and dock. Mr. Heintz requested permission to <br /> construct a dock on the property stating that he has <br /> had an opportunity to sell the property for <br /> approximately $7, 000. <br /> Mayor Van Nest commented that a dock is an accessory <br /> use structure; there is no home on the lot. We <br /> have to know when a dock, if any, was on the property. <br /> It appears that there are two__ issues here: <br /> 1. Hazardous building on lot (garage) <br /> 2. Dock - legal non-conforming use status. <br /> Mr. Heintz commented that rir. Hooper, 1530 Orchard <br /> Beach Place, has housed some of his personal <br /> material in the garage. <br /> Massengale moved, Butler seconded, to table the <br /> above requests until the next meeting to give <br /> staff time to review.
