Proposal as subr►itted appears (Continued) <br /> to be consistent with present use. . <br /> Planning Cor�unission - December 5, 1977 <br /> Warren Anderson was present. During discussion, <br /> applicant informed the Planning Commission that <br /> proposal included projected new chapel for 400 or <br /> 500 congregation. <br /> Discussion revolved around hard cover restrictions, <br /> parking requirements (one parking space for each <br /> four seats) , traffic generation, deterrlination of <br /> size of chapel and seating capacity. <br /> Planning Commission instructed applicant to prepare <br /> site plan indicating all necessary data _for further <br /> review and consideration. <br /> l. Size, location and seating capacity of projected <br /> chapel <br /> 2. Size and location of existing school and any <br /> other existing structures <br /> 3. Survey and area of parcel <br /> 4. Parking area and access r �ads <br /> 5. Limit hardcover to 40% or lot area. <br /> Staff - January 31, 1978 <br /> This issue was tabled by the Planning Comr.iission <br /> on December 5, 1977 for lack of data. Applicant <br /> was instructed to prepare more detailed plans. <br /> Revised plans (Exhibit D) were s��,.:�rlittec� January 25, <br /> 1978. <br /> Planning Commission - February 6, 1978 <br /> Mr. Warren Anderson, representing the applicant, <br /> .s present. <br /> The Planning Commission was somewhat doubtful of <br /> parking ac3equacy. They inquired about the maximum <br /> seating capacity and if the number of parking spaces <br /> indicated on the site plan would be adequate (77 spaces) . <br /> The Zoning Administrator informed the Commission of <br /> the ordinance parking space ratio for churches (one <br /> parking space for each four seats) . A seating capacity <br /> of 400 would require 100 parking spaces; therefore, <br /> a variance for 23 parking spaces would also be required <br /> if the proposal were to be approved. <br /> (Continued) <br />
