Alternate A �aas supported by the City in that the routing <br /> was more conducive to serving the area of .the City which was to be <br /> in the urban service area and four small areas along the route of <br /> the interceptor where prior developr-�ent had created the n�ed for <br /> sewer connection. The City objected to the flows projected <br /> by the addendum to the engineering report as well as the sewer servic <br /> area it- `proposed to serve. <br /> August 1976: The 2setropolitan Council approved a staff report dated <br /> _ July 27, 1976, which approved the ac3dendum to the engineering report <br /> subject to the removal of ?7aple Plain, Inc3epenc3ence Beach, Baker <br /> � Park, and �the area of the proposed Vo-Tech School from the designateci <br /> sewer service area. <br /> October 1976: The City of Orono adonted :- a Comprehensive Sewer <br /> Plan which was consitent with its Comprehensive Land IIse Plan as <br /> adopted in the fall of 1974. This plan clearly delineated the f lows <br /> required from the City of Orono through the year 2000 and also showed <br /> the area of the City that was to be contained within the service <br /> area of the Orono-Long Lake interceptor. <br /> November 10, 1976: The 14etropolitan t�aste Control Commission conducted a <br /> public hearing on the adclendum to the engineering report f�r the <br /> Orono-Long Lake interceptor _ <br />
