These discussions have usually <br /> � centered around the County Budget and, while the <br /> . County Board has expressed its intent to reduce its <br /> level of funding for these Boards , proposals to <br /> ` do so as part of the County budget process have <br /> not been implemented because municipalities (on <br /> �r, the same budget timetable) would be unable to <br /> seriously consider f_unding these groups at such <br /> � a late date. In order to provide adequate tirle <br /> for advance planning and discussion, the attached <br /> V� resolution was introduced and reviewed by the <br /> O LJays and P�4eans Cor.lmittee of the HennePin County <br /> Board on October 31. The �urpose of this resolution <br /> � is to reaffir-ri the F3oard' s intent to reduce County <br /> funding of Community Planning Boards in 1979 and <br /> + to direct staff to: <br /> r a, meet with local officials and board mertbers to <br /> � discuss the details of the proposed funding <br /> policy; and, <br /> • b. give the Boards sufficient time to solicit <br /> � supplementary sources of support for 1979 . <br /> The final decision on the amount of County support <br /> � to be provided to these ogranizations in 1979 will <br /> be made next fall when the County' s 1979 budget is <br /> � adopted.
