Alan Olson, Assistant Building & Zoning �UAST, PRINTUP & PETERSO <br /> Administrator, informed the City Council that P�IATTER <br /> at the Council meetinc� of October 11, 1977, <br /> � staff was instructed to review two matters <br /> • concerning the nuast, Printup, and Peterson <br /> matter. <br /> � l. Encroachment onto tdinnetonka Avenue right- <br /> � of-way: Staff received a survey bv Gordon <br /> Coffin and made some field measurements to <br /> locate the nuast structure relative to the <br /> Peterson garage sho�an on the survev. `"he <br /> results are shown on the attached Plat map <br /> section and survey copy. Both accessor_y <br /> structures are within the public right of <br /> � way. Because the matter has been brought <br /> to the City' s attention, one of_ three choices <br /> , for action should be made: <br /> � a. Cause all structures to be rernoved _f_rom <br /> within the street right of wa��. <br /> b. Cause the owners ta be notified of_ the <br /> • encroachments and be advised that all <br /> structures within the right of wav will <br /> � be removed whenever a rec�uest is made <br /> to open the street for through traffic. <br /> r c. Cause the street to he vacated west of <br /> Briar Street. <br /> � <br /> . The Public �Vorks Department has a mer_io cor►inc� <br /> concerning their use and maintenance of the area. <br /> � 2. Potable �9ater: I have discussed the �aater <br /> � supply question with Don Stanley, head of <br /> the plumbing section of the 2linnesota State <br /> � Board of Health and the Board' s consulting <br /> attorney, Pauline Bouchard. <br /> � <br /> , The State code and department regulations <br /> � do not prohibit the use of cisterns and <br /> imported water. The Department is even now <br /> pronulgating standards for water haulers. <br /> They have not previously been requlated. <br /> A copy of the proposed regulations are <br /> r being sent for your review.
