Alan Olson, Assistant Building & 7oning VARIAPICE <br /> � Adninistrator, entered into the record the 1640 Shadywood Road <br /> following memo concerning garage setback #292 <br /> � variances for Gerald Finn, 1640 Shadywood Gerald Finn <br /> Road, dated August 11, 1977, which states : <br /> • t��r. F'inn is requesting variances for locating <br /> � a proposed garage so as to avoid removal of some <br /> existing trees. Referring to the drawing sub- <br /> � nitted, note that the north property line passes <br /> ! through the center of the existing driveway and <br /> very riear to the north side of the house. The <br /> ' existing shed is intended to rer,tain for storage. <br /> The "existing retaining wall" was being newly <br /> � installed this afternoon and effectively covers <br /> the only area suitable for placing the garage <br /> � a�aay from trees and within all setback require�.ents. <br /> I think you shc>uld carefully look at the site and _ <br /> � come to your own conclusions , but do note that <br /> • the garage as located is only 12 ft. from the <br /> oak and well under the drip line, as well as <br /> � being within the front setback area. <br /> � Idrs. Finn advises tliat they have four cars and <br /> a notor home which normally park on the property. <br /> � Be advised that the house is a legal non-conforrning <br /> � duplex with the Finns' living quarters on the first <br /> � floor and an apartment, now occupied by their <br /> daughter, on the second floor.
