"In recognition of loss of statutory authority
to operate as an official agency on December 14 ,
1977, and in support of the Community Health
Service Interim Advisory Committee' s recommendation,
members of the Suburban Public Health Plursing
Committee wish to go on record as favoring the
joint powers organization for governing and
providing public health nursing services to
residents of suburban Fiennepin County municipalities.
We are pursuing necessary steps for incorporation
of Suburban Public Health Nursing Service as a non-
profit organization. Such action will grant the Suburban Public
ealth Nursing Service legal authority to negotiate
service contracts with the County of Hennepin for
Community Health Service programs and with the joint
powers organization; it will allow for purchase of
 service by independent entities.
