Mr. Dave 4eaver of Jervis B.: aebb Company, the
, . designer of the subject storage rack: _ The purpose _; _. ;
of the conversation 'was to ascertain from Mr. -"
Weaver - the 'structural iritegrity of te rack in
lieu of the facts that (1) the roof syster.l will
not be allowed in the actual installation, and
 (2) the top section directly supporting the roof
would not be necessary, and (3) the rack support
shall be 16" diameter footings in lieu of the
continuous slab as detailed in Mr. Weaver' s drawing.
r4r. Weaver stated that the third level beam is
unnecessary if the roof structure is not to be
installed. The structural integrity of the system
will not be impaired if this beam were omitted
provided that the roof structure is also omitted.
lso, Mr. [aeaver stated that the footings were
iesigned for a loading of 3587 pounds per pair,
as detailed in the plans. The 16" diameter footings
are, in my opinion, adequate to support the design
loadings.
 (Continued)
End of letter
