Mr. Hanson
stated to me that turn lanes could not be
constructed this year but would try to program
them for next year. . . .including two other
intersections east of Woodhill Road. He stated
that the plans would come to Orono for review
before construction started. Mr. Hanson could
not see how a meeting at the site at this time
could help. Mr. Bellows is also aware of what
• Hennepin County plans to do.
I suggested to Mr. Hanson that the speed limit
for that area should be reviewed. He felt that
50 MPH at that location was proper, but if Orono
wanted a reduction in the speed limit, he would
have to have a resolution to that effect from
the Orono City Council.
 .
ouncil Meeting - July 25, 1977
atler moved, Massengale seconded, to adopt RESOLUTION #808
Resolution #808, A Resolution Requesting The Traffic Count -
Hennepin County Highway Department To Conduct A Ferndale Road W. to Orono
Traffic Study On Shoreline Drive, (County Orchard Road
Road #15) , From Ferndale Road West To Orono
Orchard Road.
