No application, as yet, s been filed for a variance from the non- � conforr�zing expansion limitation. � If these racks would exceed 15 ' in storage height, � an application for a variance from this requirement would also be necessary. � Council Meeting - June 13, 1977 � Mr. Bruce Douglas , attorney representing Mr. Larry � Hork, owner of North Shore Marina, stated that he ; � and his client were not present at the previous Council meeting because they were not notified in � advance. They received a letter from the City the day following the Council meeting. � Mr. Douglas read into the record the attached � letter dated June 13, 1977 : M Letter Pages 20-23 • Mayor Van Nest: You speak of a 300 boat maximum. � What type are you referring to? � -"r. Douglas : There is a substantial mix of boats. � do not want to be unduly restricted to the � type of boats. A 300 maximum as a representation � of all boats is a proper mix. A 300 boat maximum � is what we feel to be comparable to other marinas. � Number of boats and number of slips is what we are talking about. r . Mayor Van Nest: What is an average size boat? � Mr. Hork: 8 ' X 18 ' . Mr. Hork also �ommented that at no one time could we realistically � store 300 boats. � Mr. Bruce Malkerson, City Attorney, asked Mr. Hork if we understand one another, there will not � be over 95 leased spaces, dry or wet? , � Mr. Hork: That is correct. The balance would be � boats for sale or rent, etc. Mr. Hork also commented that P�Ir. Ron Harnack, of the DNR, does recommend � dry stack storage and he will forward a letter to the City commenting on this. (Continued) � � f � � �
