• <br /> S R,�GULAR MEETING OF THE ORONO COUNCIL, JUNE 13, 1977 Page 4 <br /> � Police Chief Mel Kilbo stated that the theatre has NAVARRE DRIVE-IN THEATR <br /> been operating within the guidelines established (Continued) <br /> � and that there has not been any problem. <br /> � Mr. Louis Vilka, 3599 Crystal Place, and Mrs. <br /> • Delilah Mosechini, 3593 Crystal Place, objected <br /> to fast-moving cars, noise, and obnoxious mosquito <br /> � spray used at the theatre grounds. <br /> � Pastor Jack Niemie, Pastor of Good Shepherd Lutheran <br /> Church, commented on excessive noise, litter, beer <br /> � bottles , and cars entering the church driveway to <br /> allow riders to enter into the car trunk for the <br /> � purpose of avoiding admission fees to the dr_i�re-in theatre. <br /> � Mr. Lebewitz, Theatre Manager, commented that he <br /> � does require employees to control situations as they <br /> arise. <br /> � <br /> Mr. Blohm, Attorney representing Northwest Cinema, , <br /> � Corp. , commented that the theatre would want to <br /> ` regulate police personnel as needed and possibly <br /> reduce police security as situations change. <br /> � Mr. Braverman, President of Northwest Cineina, <br /> ! commented that economics dictate what is feasible <br /> and type of pictures shown does necessitate number <br /> � of personnel required. ' <br /> � After all persons present were afforded an opportunity <br /> � to be heard, the public hearing was closed at 7: 28 P.M. <br /> + Mayor Van Nest moved, Paurus seconded, to extend <br /> Resolution #790 , A Resolution Suspending The License <br /> � Of The Northwest Cinema Corporation For Navarre <br /> Drive-In Theatre And Setting Forth Additional <br /> r Restrictions Precedent To The Granting Of A <br /> • Temporary License, All To Protect The Health, <br /> Safety And Welfare Of The Citizens Of The City <br /> � Of Orono, and indefinitely allowing the City <br /> Adninistrator and Chief Kilbo to modify police <br /> � personnel as needed. The fence requirement will be <br /> held in abeyance until a later date. Traffic, <br /> � inspections, and mosquito spraying to be monitored <br /> and documented periodically.
