Nelson was concerned about the consideration <br /> of rezoning the west 100 ft, of his pr_operty <br /> recently acquired from B-1 to LR-1C-l. Several <br /> others showed concern about the limitat.i_ons of <br /> the corrunercial use in the B-5 zone. <br /> 'ihe Planning Commission explained the limited <br /> corunercial zone was established in order to <br /> discourage high traffic generating commercial <br /> uses and also as some�ahat of a protection against <br /> , duplicating ��xisting businesses. <br /> Ron Kullberg offered to meet with some of the <br /> concerned parties to discuss the proposal. <br /> The Planning Commissi.on Guggested they consider <br /> the B-5 with some changes as to permitted and <br /> conditional uses . <br /> The Planning Commission continued the Public <br /> Hearing until the next meeting of February 7, <br /> 1977 at 8 : 00 P.M. <br /> Planning Comriission r-2eeting - February 7 , 1977 <br /> Chairman Hannah opened the public hearing. Olson, Ron Kullberg, <br /> William Denny, Ted P7eyer, Ev Geyen and Stan <br /> Johnson. <br /> The Zoning Administrator explained the proposed <br /> zoning changes. He first explained the current <br /> status of the vacant commercially zoned lot <br /> west of the old Keaveny Drug Store now being <br /> considered for rezoning to residential. He <br /> informed the Planning Commission that the present <br /> location of the sewer line running through the <br /> property, along with the easement, would limit <br /> any addition to approximately 35 ' . This 35 ' <br /> is of higher elevation than the western portion <br /> of the lot. With this restriction , the Planning <br /> Commission could consider making no changes in <br /> the zoning. The Zoning Administrator also read <br /> all the proposed changes in the approved uses and <br /> conditional uses to be considered for B-5 as follows : (Continued) <br />
