(Continued) <br /> � Rick Sathre: We will build holding areas to <br /> � protect wetlands. <br /> � Mr. Robert Crompton asked, What happened to the <br /> Hennepin County proposed realignment of #110? <br /> � <br /> Mr. Craig Spencer, of Hennepin County Public <br /> • Works stated that the County has submitted and <br /> � reviewed four proposals to realign and construct <br /> arterials to relieve increased traffic in the <br /> � lake area, allowing County #15 to remain a <br /> scenic parkway, Hennepin County is looking for <br /> � the most favorable alternative to this problem. <br /> • Mr. Dave Deters and Mr. Bob Sorenson stated that <br /> they do not want their area to have to absorb <br /> � excessive traffic from Hennepin County #15 , and <br /> � what happens to the future tax base and future <br /> land use plans. <br /> � Mayor Searles stated that the area proposed for <br /> � the future ring route i� zoned five acre parcels <br /> and that trie future tax,� cv�iYl not be reduced by <br /> � this street construction. <br /> � Mayor Searles continued by saying that conclusions <br /> � from Hennepin County' s and Orono's traffic <br /> studies are to route excessive tafffic north to <br /> � State Highway #12. <br /> � Mr. John Miller questioned the urgency of this <br /> proposal saying that we are too premature in our <br /> � planning and that mass transit is the only solution. <br /> � Mayor Searles stated that Orono is always searching <br /> i for reasonable solutions. <br /> � Brad Van Nest and Councilman Paurus informed the <br /> public that this plan is part of a total transportation <br /> � plan as outlined in Hennepin County's future plans <br /> to design traffic routes to Sixth Avenue North <br /> • and State Highway #12. <br /> � Mr. Miller asked when will the City Council review <br /> ! and consider the proposed route for their decision? <br /> � Mayor Searles stated that the Council will notify <br /> all interested residents before Council takes <br /> � further action on this matter. <br /> .• <br /> � <br /> � <br /> � <br />
