CITY of URONO
Post Office Box 66•Crystal Bay,Minneeota 55323•Municipal O'icee
•
_ On the North Shore of Lake Minnetonka
November 8, 1988
Eiden Construction
Attn: Ross
4100 Brookshire Lane
Plymouth, MN 55446
Re: 175 Landmark Drive, Orono - Septic System
Dear Ross: 'j
As I have discussed with you and the homeowner (whose name escapes
me ) , the property at 175 Landmark Drive is within the Stubb' s Bay
Alternative Waste Management Study Area. There is a possibility that the
property might be served with municipal sewer within the next year or two.
Since no decision has yet been made by the City Council as to whether
a sewer project will be commenced for the Stubb's Bay area, and since there
is no specific time frame for such a project, we have proceeded from the
standpoint that this property will have to construct and use the septic
system as designed by SP Testing Inc. However, in the spring of 1989 when
your re"sidence construction is nearinq completion, it would be appropriate
and acceptable to discuss with City staff whether some decision regarding
municipal sewers has been made. If so, or if it appears that the City
Council is near to making a decision, we will, at your request, ask the
Council to review your situation for considering possible installation of
interim holding tanks, rather than requiring construction of a full-f ledged
septic system which might be abandoned after only a minimal period of use.
I will be pleased to discuss the optional courses of action with you
at your convenience. Please contact me at 473-7357 if you have any
questions. S'C
.
Sincerely, ,Na(
` G, S f' .
  ` ^ Z
,'o,`r`
Michael P.
