� • <br /> � MINUTES OF A REGULAR P1IEETING HELD OCTOBER 22, 1974 Page 4 <br /> � It was agreed by the representative5 of Minnetrista ZONING & BUILDING <br /> � and Orono at the October 17, 1974 noon meeting that AGREEMENT <br /> e should enter into a completely new agreement (Continued) <br /> i as soon as possible and that in the meanti.me, it <br /> � was necessary to justify over-time for the Building <br /> and Zoning Director and the Building Inspector in <br /> � order to keep up with the increased work load. <br /> It was further decided that a final acceptable <br /> � draft for both Cities concerning the Building <br /> and Zoning Agreement should be completed and <br /> • developed into the frame-work of Orono and <br /> i�innetrista by December 19, 1974. <br /> • <br /> � The City of Orono is to receive a reply from <br /> � Niinnetrista concernsng the status of the <br /> proposed agreement by November 1, 1974. <br /> • <br /> � Paurus moved, Butler seconded, to approve a ASSESSOR'S BOND <br /> $500.00 bond for Mr. Glen Hawkyard, the West <br /> � Hennepin Assessing District Assessor. Motion, <br /> � Ayes (5) - Nays (0) . <br /> � <br /> Searles moved, Butler aeconded, to instruct the WEST HENNEPIN ASSESSING <br /> • City Administrator to draft a memo addressing DISTRICT <br /> �e West Hennepin Assessing District requesting <br /> e District to move its assessing office into <br /> � the new City of Orono administration offices as <br /> soon as space is available. The rationale for <br /> � relocating the District Assessing office is <br /> �ased upon economics and desired efficiency <br /> • of the total District. Motion, Ayes (5) - <br /> • Nays (0) . <br /> � The City Administrator reported that he had CRYSTAL BAY ROAD <br /> contacted Minnetonka Beach concerning their Dead-end Request <br /> • desire to reroute or dead-end the Crystal Bay <br /> P.��ad. Further progress will be reported at the <br /> i November 12, 1974 meeting. <br /> � <br /> � The City Administrator presented a status report CHIEF OF POLICE REPORT <br /> concerning the employment of a Police Chief. <br /> • Twenty-three ca�didates will be tested Thursday, <br /> October 24, 1974. The results of the tests will <br /> � be reviewed and evaluated in approximately four- <br /> � teen days, after which an Oral Board will be formed <br /> to interview the ten most successful candidates. <br /> � The City Council will interview the top three <br /> �uccessful candidates for the position of Chief <br /> Police.
