Dave Opheim discussed the status of the LUCE LINE TRAIL <br /> Luce Line Trail development (DNR) , rir. <br /> � O�heim will formulate further planning with <br /> the DTdR for buffer zones along the trail and <br /> � a timetable for future development. <br /> � It was recommended that we combine our efforts <br /> • with right-of-way ac�uisition to develop a <br /> arking lot at County Road �#19 and the DNR <br /> � _rail o <br /> � <br /> �ir. Dave Opheim cliscussed the status of the SNOT•��0?3ILE TRAIL <br /> � �ong �,ake Drift Skippers Trail proposal for Long Lake Drift Skippers <br /> snowmobile useo The Park Commission recommends <br /> • a riore detailed study concerning plans and <br /> � economics before a proposal is presented to <br /> the Council. <br /> • <br /> � The Council anproved the Park Commission SOCC�R PROGRAii <br /> recommendation to authorize the sponsor of <br /> • the Orono soccer program to use the T7innetonka <br /> Art Center and the Hackberry Park grounds for <br />� their soccer activities providing all liabilities <br />� of the City are waived and the areas are cleared <br /> of all equi�ment �alien not in use. <br /> � <br />• ivir. vave Opheim, Park Commission Chairrlan, PARK FUPIDS <br /> discussed with the City Council previous <br />� �ark land funding procedures and fund <br /> allocationso It was agreed that in view of <br />� t�e economic situation, which has caused a <br /> atback in all department spending, that it was <br />• also necessary to curtail for the year 1975 <br /> further land acquisition until further cost <br />� studies are completed. It was agreed that the 50 <br />` ra�-r land park fund dedication should be banked for <br /> future park acquisition but the yearly $10,500 or 1/3 <br />� mill would be discontinued at this time. <br />
