Retaining walls should have the top of Wall and Bottom of Wall called out. Walls greater than 4' in <br /> height must be designed by a licensed professional, and plans must be submitted to the City <br /> for review prior to the construction. Tiered walls are considered one wall unless they are <br /> separated by at least twice the height of the higher wall. Since these wall are already <br /> constructed, if they exceed the parameter requiring and engineered plan the builder should <br /> provide inspection reports signed by a licensed professional engineer. <br /> 2.
