Attachment 1 <br /> • Management/Landscape Plan <br /> The existing site condition is an upland pond edge consisting of excavated soils. The soils are clay to <br /> clay loam. It is a full sun area that is seasonally wet but probably hot and dry in the summer months. <br /> METHODS: <br /> A. Site Preparation: <br /> 1. In areas with actively growing vegetation apply Roundup Weatherm� or RodeoO <br /> herbicide as per manufacturer's directions. Allow a minimum of 10 days before <br /> disturbing the vegetation with other procedures. <br /> 2. Burn off the dead vegetation by implementing a controlled burn using appropriate <br /> procedures, equipment and permits. <br /> 3. If dry or hardpacked soil conditions are present the site will be lightly harrowed or <br /> raked to create a firm, smooth seedbed. <br /> B. Native Prairie Seed and Seeding: <br /> • l. Seeding dates shall be in the spring or summer before August 10`h or in the fall <br /> between September 20`h and freeze-up. <br /> 2. All seed shall be applied by broadcasting. <br /> 3. A harrowing or raking shall follow all grass seeding. <br /> 4.
