Box 240, Hanover, Minnesota 55341 <br /> Plans Dated: October 15, 2008 <br /> Date Received: October 22, 2008, October 17, 2008 <br /> Date Reviewed: October 23, 2008 <br /> SCOPE: The plans and specifications describe the water service and building sewer connections for the <br /> referenced facility. The review is limited to the design of this particular project only, and does not cover the <br /> plumbing within the building. The review is based upon the supposition that the data on which the design is <br /> based are correct, and that necessary legal authority has been obtained to construct the project. The <br /> responsibility for the design of structural features anci the efficiency of equipment must be taken by the project <br /> designer. Approval is contingent upon satisfactory disposition of any requirements included in this report. <br /> Special care should be taken to insure that the material and inatallation are in accordance with the provisions of <br /> the Minnesota Plumbing Code and applicable licensing requirements. <br /> Enclosed is a copy of the report and transmittal letter to be forwarded to the project owner. <br />, � INSPECTIONS: All plumbing installations, including water service and�building sewers, rriust be tested and � <br /> inspected in accordance with the requirements of the Minnesota Plumbing Code. It is the responsibility of the <br /> contractor/installer to notify the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry when an installation for a state � � �� <br /> contract job, licensed facility, or project in an area where there is no local administrative authority is ready for an � <br /> inspection and test. To schedule inspections, contact the state plumbing standards representative for your region, � <br /> or call Jim Peterson at 651/284-5889. <br /> REQUIREMENT(S): <br /> 1. The PVC plastic pipe material to be used for the building sewer must meet one of the following <br /> ASTM Standards: D3034, F789, D2665, or F891. The installation must comply with AST1V1 <br /> Standard D2321 (see Minnesota Rules,part 4715.0530). <br /> 2. All joints and connections in the storm sewer system shall be gastight or watertight (see Minnesota Rules, <br /> part 4715.0700). Approveci resilient rubber joints must be used to malce watertight connections to <br /> manholes, catchbasins, and other structures. Cement mortar joints are permitted only for repairs and <br /> connections of existing]ines constructed with such joints (see Minnesota Rules,part 4715.0750). <br /> 3. DLictile iron pipe (DIP) used for water service must comply with ANSUAWWA Standard C115/A21.15 ar <br /> C151/A21.51 (see Minnesota Rules,part 4715.0510). <br /> 4. The distance between cleanouts in building sewers may not be over 100 feet (see Minnesota RLiles, <br /> part 4715.1010). <br /> 5. The service connections must be tested in accordance with Minnesota Rules,part 4715.2820. <br />
