� <br />� 13.3 PUBLIC CONVENIENCE <br />� The Contractor shall at all times so conduct his work as to insure the least possible obstruction to <br /> traffic and inconvenience to the general public and the residents in the vicinity of the Work, and to <br /> insure the protection of persons and property. No road or street shall be closed to the public except <br />� with the permission of the Owner and proper governmental authority. Fire hydrants on or adjacent <br /> to the Work shall be kept accessible to fire-fighting equipment at all times. Temporary provisions <br /> shall be made by the Contractor to insure the use of sidewaiks and the proper functioning of all <br />� gutters, sewer inlets, drainage ditches and irrigation ditches, which shall not be obstructed. <br /> 13.4 CROSSING UTILITIES. ETC. <br />, Where he r secution of the Work s <br /> t p o re ults in the crossmg of highways, railroads, streets or utilities <br />� under the jurisdiction of state, county, city or other public or private entities, the Contractor shall <br /> secure written permission from the proper authority to cross said highway, railroad, street or utility <br /> before further prosecuting the Work. A copy of the written document granting permission shall be <br />� filed with the Owner and Engineer before any Work is done. The Contractor shall be required to <br /> abtain a written release from the app�icable authority upon completion of the Work. A copy of this <br /> written release shall be �led with the Owner and Engineer before final acceptance of the Work is <br />, granted. <br /> - 13.5 SAie,'1'I'���' �ROVISIONS <br />, _ �'he Contractor shall provide and maintain such sanitary facilities for the use of his employees and <br /> those of his Sttbcontractors as may be necessary to comply with the laws, ruies or regulations of the <br />� Federal, Stat� and local governments, or agencies oi•departments thereof. <br /> l 3.6 PRESERVATION OF HISTORICAL OBJECTS <br />� l�.6.1 Where historical ob'ects of otential archeolo ical or aleon <br /> � p g p tological �ature are discov�red <br />' within the areas on which the Contractor's operations are in progress, the Contractor shall restrict or <br /> suspend his operations in the immediate area of the discovery as may be necessary to preserve the <br /> discover�d objects until the Owner has made arrangements for their disposition or has recorded the <br /> idesired data relative thereta <br /> 13.6.2 The Contractor shall immediately notify the Owner of any historical objects he may discover <br />� �r become aware of as the�1Vork is being prosecuted, and shall aid in the preservation and salvage <br /> program decided upon, as rr�ay b� requested or ordered by the Owner.
