' <br /> � 3.6 CONTRACT'TIME <br /> ' The Contractor shall camplete, in an acceptable manner, all of the Work contracted for in the time <br /> stated in the Contract Documents, subject only to extension for unforeseeable delays above and <br /> beyond the control of the Contractor and his Subcontractors and without their fault or negligence. <br /> ' �JVritten notice of the Contractor's claim for such extension shall be given within ten (10) days of the <br /> occurrence of the event giving rise to the claim; otherwise the claim shall be waived. <br /> , 3.7 SCHEDULE OF COMPLETION <br /> The Contractor shall submit,at such time as may reasonably be requested by the Engineer, schedules <br /> , which shall show the order in which the Contractor proposes to carry on the Wor�C, with dates at <br /> which the Contractor will start the several parts of the Work and estimated dates of completion of <br /> , the several parts. <br /> 3.8 COMPUTATION OF TIME <br /> ' When any period of time is referred to in the Contract Documents by days, it shall be computed to <br /> exclude the first and include the last day of such period. ff the last day of any such period falls on <br /> ' a Saturday or Sunday or on a day made a legal holiday by the law of the applicable jurisdiction, such <br /> day shall be omitted from the computation. <br /> ' 3.9 LIOUIDATED DAMAGES <br /> 3.9.1 Time is the essence of the contract. The Contractor thereby agrees that the �wner will be <br /> ' entitled to liquidated damages for failure on the part of the Contractor to complete the Work within <br /> the time limits provided for in the Contract Documents. <br /> , 3.9.2 �hould the Contractor fail to complete the project on or before the s�ecified date, liquic;�.��ci <br /> damages in the amount specified in the Special Provisions shall be deducted from any monies due <br /> , or coming due to the Contractor or shall be paid to the Owner not as a penalty but as liquidated <br /> damages for each and every calendar day that the contract sha11 remain uncompleted after the <br /> specified date for Completion.
