� � .r <br /> . *�:�� [�F�1�I c�t� o� oR,oNo <br /> .y_ ....6�1. � . <br /> • `';x ry <br /> � ' RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> .��. <br /> �;` � � NO. 1576 , <br /> ;,�;�� <br /> �,�,`� � . . <br /> . • ' • • <br /> :.:ti.i�fiy, <br /> A RESOLUTION VACATING ALL OF BRACKETTS AVENUE <br /> IN THE PLAT OF ORONO, HENNEPIN COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Orono is a municipal corporation <br /> organized and existing under the laws of the State of Minnesota; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Orono� has received a petition to vacate <br /> all of Bracketts Avenue platted in the plat of Orono, Hennepin County, <br /> Minnesota; and <br /> WHEREAS, after due published and posted notice, a public <br /> hearing regarding said vacation was held before the Orono Planning <br /> Commission on March 21, 1983 , and all interested persons were given <br /> an opportunity to be heard; and <br /> WHEREAS, after due study and consideration, the City Council <br /> of the City of Orono finds that it will be for the best public interest <br /> • to approve such vacation based on the following findings: <br /> 1. Brackett Avenue as platted is useless and no longer in <br /> use for the public road purposes intended. <br /> � 2 . Vacation of Brackett Avenue will allow platting and <br /> dedication to the public of the actual right of. way <br /> currently used by and for County Road No. ' 15. <br /> 3 . Existing public interest in the shoreline of Lake Minnetonka <br /> will be preserved and protected by creation of lakeshore <br /> outlots in the plat of Dragonfly Hill to be owned in fee <br /> by the City for the use and benefit of the general public. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that such petition is hereby <br /> granted and that portion of Bracketts Avenue in the Plat of Orono, Hennepin <br /> County, Minnesota not already leqally vacated in District Court Orders <br /> dated April 18 , 1899 and November 6 , 1914 is hereby vacated. <br /> Adopted by the City Council of the City of Orono, Minnesota at a regular <br /> meeting held November 14, 1983 . <br /> � <br /> � Mary C.
