The SCP consists of a T-handle,rod graduated every 6 inches,a proving ring of 250 Ib capacity,with dial indicator,and a cone point with a base area of 0.983 inches. The dial indicator reading information presented within this report is correlated with a calibration chart for the proving ring to determine the ultimate bearing pressure of the soU. We incorporate a faetor of safety of at least 3 to determine the allowable bearing pressure. The adequacy of the soils for support of the bearing pressure will be dependent on the in-place properties during site construction. The information presented within this report reflects the conditions encountered by STS on the indicated date. Changes within the in-place materials including but not limited to construction disturbance,moisture content and frost penetration may reduce the indicated bearing capaciry. The SCP test results are valid at the location and elevation of the test only. No.representation is made as to the adequacy of the bearing soils at location and elevation other than those tested.
