<br /> 8.4 Owner Resuonsibility/Indemnity. An Owner who causes an alteration o be .
<br /> made, regardless of whether the alteration�is approved by the Board, shall be responsible f�ir the
<br /> � canstniction work and any claiins, damages, losses, or liabiEities arising out of the alter�tian.
<br /> The O�ovner, and not the Association, is responsible for determining whether any alteratio is in
<br /> violation of any restriction impased by any governmental authority having jurisdiction ov r any
<br /> partior� of the Property. The Owner sha11 hold harmiess, indemnify,and defend the Associ tion,
<br /> and th� Association's officers, directors, committee rnembers, and management a�;ents, fro and
<br /> against any expenses, claims, damages, losses, or other liabilities, including witi�out limi ation
<br /> attorn�s' fees and costs of litigation, arising out of (i) any a(teration which violate any
<br /> governmental Eaws, codes, ordinances, or regulations, (ii) the adequacy or inadequacy f the
<br /> specifi�ations or standards for construction of the alteration, and (iii) the construction �f the
<br /> alterat�on.
<br /> ,8.5 Exemntians. The requirements set forth in this Section 8 (except Sectio� 8.4) •
<br /> shatl not apply t�the following:
<br /> ' 8.5.1 Construction, reconstruction, or remodeling by Declarant in conn�ction
<br /> ' with its sale of Units.
<br /> ' I 8.5.2 The installation of the following antennas within a Unit or wi in a
<br /> Limited Common Element, as permitte� by applicable law: (i) one antenna one m ter or
<br /> � less in diameter .for the purpose of receiving direct broadcast/satetlite service or video
<br /> ' programming services, or (ii) any antenna For receiving television broadcast s gnals.
<br /> ' However, the Board or a committee appointed by it, may require that the ante na be
<br /> ! installed so as to minimize its visibility from the front of the Unit and oth rwise
<br /> camouflage its appearance, unless such requirements would violate applicable la . The
<br /> , Board shall have authority to impose further, reasonable related requirements con istent
<br /> , with law. The Owner or Occupant of the Unit shall perform and pay for the instal ation,
<br /> maintenarice, and repair of the installation. . j

<br /> 9.1 Maintenance bv Association. Subject to Section 9.2,the Association shail ovide
