An Owner who causes an alteration to be <br /> made, egardless of whether the alteration is approved by the Baard, shall be respansible r the <br /> � canst ction work and any claiins, damages, iosses, or liabiIities arising out of the alte ation. <br /> The O er, and not the Association, is responsibte for determining whether any alteratio is in <br /> vioiati n of any restriction impased by any governmenta] authority having jurisdiction ov r any <br /> portio of the Property. The Owner shall hold harmtess, indemnify,and defend the Association, <br /> and th Association's officers, directors, committee members, and management agents, fro and <br /> agains any expenses, claims, damages, losses, or other liabilities, including without limi ation <br /> attorn s' fees and costs of litigation, arising aut of (i) any atteration which violate any <br /> gove ental .Eaws, codes, ordinances, or regulations, (ii) the adequacy or inadequacy f the <br /> specifi ations or standards for construction of the alteration, and (iii) the construction f fhe <br /> alterati n. <br /> 8.5 Exemptions. The requirements set forth in this Section 8 (except Sectio 8.4) <br /> shall n t apply to the following: <br /> 8.5.1 Construction, reconstruction, or remodeling by Declarant in conn ction <br /> with its sale of Units. <br />' 8.5.2 The installation of the following antennas within a Unit or wit in a � <br /> Limited Common Element, as permitted by applicable law: (i) one antenna one me er or <br /> less in diameter for the purpose of receiving direct broadcast/satellite service or ideo <br /> programming services, or (ii) any antenna for receiving television broadcast si nals. <br /> However, the Board or a committee appointed by it, may require that the anten a be <br /> installed so as to minimize its visibility from the front of the Unit and othe ise <br /> camoafiage its appearance, uniess such requirements would violate applicable law. The <br /> Board shall have authority to impose furiher, reasonable related requirements cons stent <br /> ith law. The Owner or Occupant of the Unit shall perform and pay for the install tion, <br /> aintenarice, and repair of the installation. . i <br /> , <br /> i <br /> . 8.5.3 Alterations permitted by the Rules and Regulations. <br /> SECTION 9 <br /> MAINTENANCE <br /> .1 Maintenance bv Association.
