Nothing other than human waste, toilet tissue, laundry, showers, water softener etc. <br /> should be disposed of into the septic tanks. Iron filters must be diverted out of the <br /> system. Recommend to divert the water softner also. Garbage disposals are not <br /> recommended, due to adding more solids & fine solids passing through to the system. <br /> Excessive amounts of soaps, anti-bacterial soaps, cleaning agents, shower cleaners <br /> used every shower & chlorine agents may kill the bacteria needed to treat septic <br /> effluent. Additives are not recommended.
