Christine Mattson
From: Christine Mattson
Sent: Tuesday, December 07, 2010 2:17 PM
To: 'pbazil@earthlink.net'
Cc: Melanie Curtis
Subject: Boardwalk at 3535 Ivy Place
Attachments: admin@ci.orono.mn.us_20101207_151534.pdf
Mr. Bazil,
Melanie has asked that I reply to your questions listed below.
I have attached a copy of our Zoning Permit Application. You will need to pay$100 with the application (that is the
application fee $50, doubled). Submitted with the Zoning Permit Application should be a revised survey, including hard
cover calculations and topography, along with drawings indicating reductions in the stair and deck. We recommend you
check with the Minnehaha Creek Watershed District (MCWD)to determine if the work you will be doing requires a
permit from them.
I don't know the scope of your project, but if you are changing the grade, we'll need a check for$2,000 and the attached
escrow agreement signed. If you are not changing the grade, but just reducing the stairs and lakeside deck, i.e.just
digging new post holes, an escrow will not be necessary.
As you had indicated, the time of year prohibits progress to currently be made. We would anticipate this project to
commence with the Spring thaw of 2011 and have it completed by June 1, 2011.
Please contact me if you have additional questions.
Christine Mattson
Planning Assistant
952-249-4620
Melanie:
I have a couple calls into you. Can you confirm what I have to pay when I submit the zoning permit application? Given
where we are in the year, when would the City expect me to have the work finished?
I can come in either tues or wed this week with the application or anytime the following two weeks.
Thanks,
Pete
i
