Christine Mattson
From: Christine Mattson
Sent: Wednesday, August 15, 2012 8:06 AM
To: 'dvjh9@aol.com'
Subject: 460 East Long Lake Road
Attachments: admin@ci.orono.mn.us_20120814_134458.pdf
Hi David,
Attached is a copy of the escrow agreement for establishment of the wetland buffer we discussed on the
phone. Please sign and return it to me. We require the signed document before a final certificate of
occupancy will be issued.
Regarding your questions pertaining to trees in the wetland buffer and according to the Flowage and
Conservation Easement 1(A) diseased or dead trees and noxious weeds can be removed. Trees with a greater
than four inch caliper that are not dead or diseased must remain. If you propose to vary from the approved
plan, a new plan (including details of trees to be removed and re-planted) must be submitted and approved by
us before any removals can begin.
On the Minnehaha Creek Watershed District (MCWD) website there is a document titled Wetland buffer
guidelines for accepted plants which can be used as a guide - page 3 lists native buffer plants (Trees and
Shrubs).
If you have any additional questions, please don't hesitate to contact us.
Christine Mattson
Planning Assistant
City of Orono
2750 Kelly Parkway Orono MN 55356 (physical addressJ
PO Box 66 Crystal Bay MN 55323-0066 (mailing addressJ
'1 952.249.4620 8 952.249.4616
 cmattson@ci.orono.mn.us www.ci.orono.mn.us
Summer Office Hours: (Monday, May 21 through Friday,August 31,2012)
Monday-Thursday: 7:30 am to 5 pm
Friday: 7:30 am to 11:30 am
OUR OFFICE WILL BE CLOSED: Monday,September 3, 2012
1
