A preliminary review of the building plans indicates a 3`d story window <br /> within a gabled dormer on the front roo£ This feature is not shown on the proposed roof <br /> plan. The potential issue is that if this is in fact a window, per City Code the building <br /> height is measured from the highest existing grade to the midpoint of the roof from the <br /> top of that window to the peak. With the window in place, the defined height of the <br /> home is approximately 33 feet, exceeding the 30-foot height maximum allowed by City <br /> Code. The simple solution is to remove the window in that gabled dormer, or remove the <br /> dormer entirely. <br /> 6. Minnehaha Creek Watershed District (MCWD). As a minimum, you will need an <br /> MCWD Erosion Control Permit. Your project may trigger other MCWD permitting <br /> requirements; please contact the MCWD directly at 952-471-0590 regarding your project. <br /> Please note, the City of Orono will not issue a building permit without a copy of the <br /> MCWD Erosion Control Permit or documentation stating the proposed project does not <br /> trigger any of their permitting requirements. <br /> 7. Landscape Plan. Prior to the issuance of the building permit a landscape plan must be <br /> submitted showing all the proposed exterior/landscaping improvements, i.e. patios, <br /> grading, sidewalks, retaining walls, etc. The plan should include the name of the <br /> individual performing the work. The landscape plan should match what is shown on the <br /> survey. <br /> 8. ISTS Design. The septic design dated May 28, 2015 is not a complete design. Your <br /> ISTS Designer(Rusty Olson) must complete a design based on the proposed house size, <br /> location and drainfield sites.
